The Mission of the School Sisters of Notre Dame

• Our Mission is to proclaim the good news as SSNDs, directing our entire lives toward that oneness for which Jesus Christ was sent. 

• We are educators in all we do.  Impelled by the Spirit and mission of Jesus, we educate with a global vision believing that world can be changed through the transformation of persons.

• We work to empower others through education and spread Jesus' message of love and unity.

• We respond to the needs of the church and work through a diversity of ministries.

• We strive to live and work in ways that reflect and promote the values Christ lived and taught.

• Our common heritage and charism, our community life and mission promote and strengthen the unity which binds our sisters - across nations and cultures - to Christ, to one onother and to the people to whom we serve.
