Octoberfest 2008 on the campus of Villa Notre Dame in Wilton, Conn. was an especially wonderful event that not only celebrated the 175th anniversary of SSND, but also celebrated the 20th year of the event.  Sisters from all over the Atlantic-Midwest Province joined together to work at the event and to donate items that were sold in various venues.  More than 100 sisters, their families, friends, outside volunteers and staff worked to make the day exciting and enjoyable.  Many new enhancements that were added to this year’s celebration resulted in an increased attendance and a healthy profit.  But most importantly, new and younger faces were introduced to SSND with first-time attendees.  By all accounts, Octoberfest 2008 was a great success.
