Who can be an Associate? Any baptized woman or man, 21 years of age or older, can be an Associate. All you need is the desire to share with SSNDs in faith, prayer and spiritual growth. There is a preparation time, during which the prospective associate can become acquainted with the School Sisters of Notre Dame, and with the SSND heritage, mission and spirituality. Although Associates do not take religious vows or live
in community, they are committed to deepening their baptismal covenant with Christ. What does the word Charism mean?
